⚓️ Byblos Digital Museum: “The Grand Voyage” to Launch in 2026
BYBLOS, LEBANON – October 26, 2024 – The historic city of Byblos is preparing for the Spring 2026 debut of “The Grand Voyage of the Phoenicians,” Lebanon’s first fully immersive digital museum.
This ambitious project will replace traditional artifacts with cutting-edge technology to bring the influential Phoenician maritime culture to life. Visitors will be transported back in time using Virtual Reality (VR), 360-degree projections, and multi-sensory effects. The experience includes virtually sailing ancient trade routes and witnessing the origin of the world’s first phonetic alphabet through interactive installations.
Described by developers HYBRID Xperience as a “cinematic spectacle,” the museum aims to engage all ages by highlighting the Phoenicians’ innovation and profound impact on global communication and commerce.
The initiative is set to boost national pride, establish Byblos as a major tourist destination, and showcase Lebanon’s high-tech cultural capabilities. As anticipation builds, “The Grand Voyage of the Phoenicians” is poised to redefine how ancient history is experienced.
⚓️ متحف بيبلوس الرقمي: “الرحلة الكبرى” ينطلق عام ٢٠٢٦
جبيل، لبنان – ٢٦ تشرين الأول ٢٠٢٤ – المدينة التاريخيّة عم تتحضّر لإطلاق “الرحلة الكبرى للفينيقيّين” بربيع ٢٠٢٦، أوّل متحف رقمي غامر بالكامل بلبنان.
هالمشروع الطموح رح يستبدل المعروضات التقليديّة بتقنيّات متطوّرة بتعيد إحياء الحضارة البحريّة الفينيقيّة. الزائرين رح ينتقلوا بالزمن لورا عبر تقنيّات الواقع الافتراضي، إسقاطات بانوراميّة ٣٦٠ درجة، وتأثيرات حسّية بتشدّ الحواس. التجربة بتتضمّن الإبحار الافتراضي على طرق التجارة القديمة، وشهود ولادة أوّل أبجديّة صوتيّة بالعالم من خلال محطّات تفاعليّة.
وبحسب مطوّري المشروع HYBRID Xperience واصفين إيّاه بـ”عرض سينمائي مبهر”، الهدف إنّه يجذب كلّ الأعمار ويضيء على ابتكار الفينيقيّين وتأثيرهم الكبير على تطوّر التواصل والتجارة حول العالم.
